EMBODIED LINEAGES: APPROCHES TO TRANSGENERATIONAL HEALING
Working with embodied lineages invites us to recognize that healing does not begin or end with our personal experience in this moment—it unfolds through the living body as part of a larger ancestral and collective field. The stories, emotions, and movements of those who came before us continue to echo in our tissues, shaping how we love, fear, and belong.
By bringing awareness to these embodied inheritances, we create space for what was silenced or unfinished to be witnessed and transformed. This work supports healing by metabolizing what has been carried unconsciously, increases resilience by restoring access to ancestral strengths and adaptive capacities, and reconnects us to a wider web of belonging that extends beyond personal identity. In tending to our embodied lineages, we participate in the alchemy of turning inherited wounds into wisdom—transforming isolation into connection, fragmentation into continuity, and pain into presence.

Apply somatic and systemic approaches to exploring transgenerational material.
-
Track and regulate embodied expressions of ancestral trauma in self and others.
-
Use movement and felt senses as tools for transformation and integration.
-
Differentiate between personal and inherited material in relational contexts.
-
Cultivate practices that restore ancestral strengths, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
WHO IS THIS FOR
This work is for those who feel the pulse of something older moving through them—for wanderers, seekers, and practitioners who sense that healing stretches beyond the self. It calls to anyone curious about the stories written in their body, those drawn to understand the threads that bind generations through love and loss.
